Infection Preventionist Rn/Mt

Job Summary:# To develop, coordinate and maintain an ongoing, infection prevention and control#program designed to prevent, locate, identify and control infectious diseases within the hospital#setting and specified affiliates including but not limited to CMG Practices, Caromont Endoscopy Center, Caromont Surgical Center, Caromont Hospice and Courtland Terrace.

RN Qualifications:

###RN from accredited school of nursing with current RN license to practice in NC (NC license or multi-state [compact] license).# BSN or must obtain within 12 months of hire.# Master#s degree with a clinical background preferred. #Required to be current in and maintain certification (CIC) in the practice of hospital infection control by Certification Board of Infection Control # Epidemiology (CBIC) or to obtain certification by the completion of the third year in Infection Prevention and Control.

####At least three years of acute hospital experience are required

.# Ability to work independently.# Excellent communication skills and detailed oriented.# Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities Extensive knowledge of infection control and epidemiological principles, methods and techniques required.# Works in collaboration with multi-disciplinary team(s) focused on patient safety and process improvement.# # MT#Qualifications:#BS in Medical Technology (BSMT) required.
