Responsible for resource assignment and coordination of facility-based Infection Preventionists. Will mentor other IPs and will lead the way in exemplary completion of quality deliverables and leadership capability. Will partner with facility leaders to maintain a quality Infection Prevention Program at the facility.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required or Medical Technology or bachelors in related field Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: Three to five years in Nursing or Medical Technology or related healthcare field required.
Two to three years in Infection Control/Epidemiology required. Leadership experience preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Current RN License required if RN Certification: American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification Preferred if MT Certification by the National Certification Board of Infection Control required
Additional Skills/Requirements required: Ability to lead teams and facilitate an organized work effort; awareness of current future trends in Infection Prevention and healthcare; ability to understand, report and direct the team and other IP department personnel to maintain the facility infection required: prevention program and to respond to critical issues in a timely and complete manner; ability to work under deadlines and heavy workloads. Relationship skills that include excellent listening and consultative abilities, as well as the ability to establish credible relationships with facility leaders to drive change.
Additional Skills/Requirements preferred: Knowledge of departmental and Novant Health computer system(s). Skills/ Maintain membership in the Association of Professional in Infection control and Epidemiology at a state and national levels to provide opportunities for networking and education.
