The Sunshine House is looking for an experienced and energetic teacher who loves working with infants!

The ideal candidate will have Early Childhood Education coursework and/or ECE degree, CPR and first aid certifications, and at least six months of experience working with infants.

Our infant curriculum is framed by Creative Curriculum, a nationally-recognized program that helps babies develop critical skills. We enhance this curriculum with the latest research into brain-based development, available only at The Sunshine House!

Teachers in our Infant Program:

  • Hold, rock, sing to, smile at, and explore the world with infants

  • Conduct tummy time for muscle development

  • Lead individual and small group experiences

  • Spend time outside to connect with nature

  • Provide feeling of security

  • Stimulate language development

  • Encourage intellectual development

  • Promote physical growth and sound nutrition


  • ECE course work preferred

  • Early childhood education experience, preferably with infants

  • Speak, read, and write English fluently

  • CPR and 1st Aid Certifications (or willingness to obtain these)

  • Must be able to adapt to continuously changing, fast-paced environment, and make the children's needs your primary focus

  • Must be able to kneel, stoop, squat, and stand for a majority of the day

  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds

  • Must pass state background check and health assessment tests

Performs, monitors, and documents patient ADLs including vital signs. Performs and documents specified patient treatments in a timely manner. Observes for complications and/or deviations and reports any promptly to the RN. Maintains and monitors skin integrity. Takes ownership for specified duties in the admission and discharge process. Consistently ensures that patient has fresh ice and water if allowed. Ensures patient rooms are clean, organized, and free from dirty linen or trash. Consistently conducts and records hourly patient rounds. Provides clear communication in support of patient handoff process. Accurately documents and maintains unit logs and records. Performs functions related to the admission and discharge of patients to/from unit in the EMR. Maintains an organized, neat, and clean front desk. Orders, replaces, removes or returns equipment and supplies as needed. Maintains any required clinical competencies specific for department assigned. Job responsibilities may include proximity to medications while in areas with restricted access. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School Graduate or GED required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Entry Level MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: N/A ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: BLS certification required Certification from a Nursing Assistant or Patient Care Technician program preferred One year of patient care experience preferred.
