Starting Salary:

Infant Mental Health Therapist I: $54,408.71- $62,266.51 annual salary based on experience.

Infant Mental Health Therapist II: $56,815.25 - $65,327.49 annual salary based on experience.

Role:

Under the supervision of a Mental Health Program Director and Program Coordinator, will provide specialty Infant Mental Health services to children ages birth to 3 years and their parents, including pregnant women. Will also provide specialty early childhood mental health services to children under age six. Children served are at high risk for impaired social-emotional development due to the child's existing condition, or the parent's capacity to promote the child's development is constrained by problems of attachment, prior history of parent, mental illness and/or situational stressors. Provide assessments, conduct person-centered planning, provide individual, family and group therapy and case management in consumer homes and community settings and link and coordinate with community services on behalf of the child and family. Collaborate with internal & external services and community programs/resources. Emphasis on teaming and collaborating with agency and community professionals on behalf of families.

Prior treatment experience with children with Serious Emotional Disturbance and their families and strong teaming skills preferred. Infant Mental Health experience preferred.

Job Specific Requirements:

Mental Health Therapist II: Master's degree with Michigan licensure as LMSW, LLP, or LPC, with requirement to obtain Infant Mental Health Level II endorsement within 2 years from Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MAIMH) and ultimately obtain Level III or higher endorsement.

Mental Health Therapist I: Master's degree with Michigan licensure, either LLMSW, TLLP, or LLPC, with requirement to obtain full licensure within 2 years of hire. Also, requirement to obtain Infant Mental Health Level II endorsement within 2 years from Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MAIMH) and ultimately obtain Level III or higher endorsement.
