The Role:

VMware is looking for a talented and passionate Industry Solutions Marketing Manager that will drive global vertical-specific initiatives. This position requires a business acumen to drive the direction, planning and execution of strategic program deliverables.

Core Responsibilities

oOwns and drives development of strategic global industry programs and thought leadership initiatives to meet the goals of the business

oDevelop messaging and content including presentations, web, brochures and solution briefs

oDevelop and execute content marketing strategies that drive awareness, engagement and adoption to reach various IT audience(s)

oPartner with field marketing to gather program requirements, and effectively execute global programs with regions

oAlign and work effectively across cross functional teams such as sales leaders, business units, field marketing and sales

oGlobal scope

Skills & Requirements

o6/7 years of experience delivering highly successful go-to-market and awareness strategies and execution of strategic global marketing programs for software technology company

oExperience leading and managing global cross-organizational initiatives

oExperience handling stakeholders with diverse needs and perspectives

oExperience positioning technical solutions to business buyers

oExperience developing and executing content marketing strategy plan while articulating key value propositions

oExcellent oral and written communication skills; public speaking experience is a plus

Ability to operate in both a strategic and detailed manner, while accommodating for global and regional level concerns

oIndustry experience in financial services, retail and/or healthcare is ideal.

oBA or BS in Marketing or related field; MBA preferred

Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing and Brand, this highly visible and strategic position is responsible, working with GEO and Product Marketing leaders, for the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of global marketing activities. Corporate Brand and Marketing is responsible for developing the global marketing and brand narrative as a basis for increasing market share, positioning Varian as the innovative solutions leader and preferred partner for the Oncology Community. We seek an energetic leader who is a creative thinker with a strong track record for generating significant impact through strategic and tactical execution of compelling marketing campaigns. You will partner with GEO teams and direct reports to evolve the brand through design and message development, create compelling content, deliver innovative product launches, build partnership programs, integrate web strategies, and develop and execute digital and print marketing campaigns for B2B and DTC. Essential Responsibilities: Vision, Strategy, and Leadership: * Be accountable for building strategic and collaborative marketing teams, across global functions, to develop and implement marketing and communication plans to unify and promote Varian's brand and broaden Varian's customer base to achieve long-term profitable growth. * Manage Varian's corporate brand, with responsibility for the internal and external brand experience; visual identity; policies, procedures, guidelines and training. Engage with a wide variety of stakeholders to ensure the brand is implemented and adhered to globally. * Provides strategic guidance to the product marketing teams to help ensure successful product launches * Produce innovative new ways to showcase product launches at major tradeshows and events. * Lead the development and implementation of a marketing strategy to build partnership programs for legacy and growth businesses across distinct market segments. * Oversee production of measurably effective digital and print campaigns, working with our advertising agencies (creative, media, and search). * Manage marketing asset creation, publishing and consumption tracking. These assets encompass a broad range of product collateral, white papers, web content, presentations, newsletters, trade show booth assets, and videos, including technical materials for both B2B and D2C. * Track and analyze marketing program results; implement continual improvements based on findings * Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization. Work with the leadership team and staff to recognize and take advantage of internal and external marketing opportunities by defining and executing relevant marketing and communication initiatives. * Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning. Mentor and develop your team members using a supportive and collaborative approach. * Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance appraisals. * Oversee budgeting and forecasting for the department; conduct quarterly budget reviews, achieve targets.
