This role is based in the Midwest Region with a home office location preferably in Minnesota, Indiana or Missouri. The preferred industry experience would be Packaging (Form/Fill/Seal, Labeling, Case Tray Handling, Filling and Dosing).
Under minimum supervision, the Industry Sales Specialist focus primarily on converting OEM machine builder accounts to Mitsubishi Electric Automation products & solutions. Identify and pursue conversion of qualified OEM's in target industries, with a primary focus in Packaging, Material Handling and Printing industries. As a secondary focus, work to gain specification at targeted End User accounts.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Identify qualified target OEM's within assigned territories in coordination with Corporate Marketing team.
Successfully build relationships, perform proper discovery, advocate products & solutions, and provide support for targeted OEM's in an effort to achieve goals for Mitsubishi Electric Automation.
Manage the target customer relationship, working closely with key decision makers and influencers.
Apply Wilson CSP sales methodology principles to facilitate relating, discovery, advocating, and negotiating.
Generate discovery agreements and proposals to meet customer specifications.
Manage the OEM conversion time line, using a project management methodology.
Coordinate activities and support requirements with Corporate Marketing, Regional Sales, Product Marketing, Technical Support Group, and Distribution Partners
Coordinate activities with Corporate Marketing to gain End User specifications for Mitsubishi Electric Automation products & solutions.
Represent Mitsubishi Electric in a professional, ethical and socially responsible manner with customers.
Document activities in Outlook, CRM and provide timely reports.
Provide monthly and annual business plan forecasts.
Attain monthly and yearly sales goals established by management.
Plan and execute smooth transfer of converted OEM's to Channel Team.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge to fulfill responsibilities.
Understand markets, customers, competitors, products and applications to better recommend solutions to prospective customers
Ability to excel within a developmental/top-down, solution selling model
Solid written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and proposal writing.
Organization skills to manage schedule, travel and project management.
Computer proficiency knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
