Industry Market Manager Pharma

Our team in North America currently has an opening for a Industry Market Manager Pharma.

The purpose of this position is to manage assigned portfolio of key suppliers across North America with a focus on promoting and growing all applications in Pharma division profitably; To meet Brenntag's corporate goals as well as suppliers' target expectations.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Summary:

To manage assigned portfolio of key suppliers and product categories across North America with a focus on promoting and growing all applications in Pharma division profitably.

Job Description:

• Manages an assigned group of suppliers on a North American basis;

• Participates with sales management and the business units in establishing recommended pricing and price changes based on market intel;

• Contributes and participates with business units in the creation of product line growth strategies for selected market segments;

• Develops and maintains effective and strategic relationships with key suppliers;

• Plans key suppliers business reviews and provides updates on customer activities as needed;

• Provides technical support to the sales organization and/or other members of the marketing, procurement, regulatory and operations team as required;

• Ensures that business plans for Pharma are developed and implemented in a timely and effective manner;

• Determines potential gaps in product portfolio and investigates possible vendor partners to fill these gaps for Pharma applications;

• Analyzes market trends and prepares forecasts of assigned products to achieve Specialties overall target for inventory turns as well as individual target for dead and extremely slow moving stock;

• Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure inventory minimum and established deadlines are met.

IDEAL PROFILE

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Science or Business;

• Experience with Pharma development cycle as well as regulatory and quality aspects is an asset;

• Previous sales or product management experience in the chemical distribution or related industry is an asset;

• Superior presentation, communication and negotiation skills;

• Strategic business, marketing & pricing skills;

• Proficient with data analysis and business systems (SAP, BUS, Sales Force, Qlik, MS Office)
