As an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Technologist, you will get to work with the #1 ranked wastewater treatment engineering firm in the world and our global expert engineering staff to support varied processes for wastewater treatment with a focus on the power plant industry. Working with other members of the team, you'll assist the development team in ensuring water/wastewater process design perspectives are considered in technology selection as well as lead water and wastewater process design teams in finalizing engineering packages; effectively work with clients to develop water / wastewater characterization and basis of design, alternative evaluation, treatability testing, process definition, conceptual design through to construction and operation for raw water treatment; provide high quality technical expertise in water / wastewater management and biological treatment; as well as help develop and ensure the ongoing success of a high-performance team through mentorship and development. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
At least 10 years of experience (including being the subject matter expert) for applicable industrial water management and wastewater treatment in the power industry.
Proven experience working with project managers to deliver successful projects to industrial wastewater treatment clients.
Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil Engineering or related engineering and science discipline.
Licensed Professional Engineer
Ability to travel occasionally across North America.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Advanced degree in Chemical, Environmental, Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Well-published and is a recognized subject matter expert in power plant water systems, boiler feedwater preparation, cooling tower water chemistry, and flue gas desulfurization and wastewater treatment. Expertise in biotreatment for selenium is a plus
