  • Mature and implement custom solutions for production planning to ensure on-time start and completion while meeting quality requirements

  • Train and develop operational staff to successfully perform daily production operations

  • Develop machine tool programs to produce aerospace quality components using commercial and custom software tools

  • Ensure that new and existing equipment programs are implemented/updated within established procedures function properly, meet specifications, and schedule objectives

  • Support the technicians to assure that programs are validated before going into production

  • Provides technical support in solving product quality problems with new and existing products

  • Provide ongoing reports to department manager regarding project progress and project status

  • Develop programming solutions that minimize material waste and technician time

  • Utilize MasterCAM, RobotMaster, Verisurf, VCP, VCS, and similar type software tools for programming development and validation

  • Stay current with software updates, provide training to partners and lead continuous improvement


  • Must be a U.S. Person (citizen or permanent resident)

  • B.S. degree or higher in an engineering field, such as computer, robotics, mechanical, electrical, aerospace, etc.

  • Two-five years of work experience as a solutions and programmer developer for advanced manufacturing equipment

  • Intermediate to advanced experience in creating post processing code for translation of commercial software code to machine code

  • Candidates should have a zeal for working on high-functioning and diverse teams and for making real systems work

  • Design experience with CATIA V5 or equivalent computer aided design software.

  • Ability to support multiple tasks while ensuring timely and cost-effective completion

  • Experience operating robotic and standard machining equipment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work within manufacturing environment to include lifting and transporting objects up to 40 pounds as well as consistently stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel.

  • Able to support production demands and schedule, may be asked to work extended work hours or non-standard shifts as required.

VIEW JOBS 4/13/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-12T00:00 Specific Responsibilities: * Write quality plans compliant to customer requirements working with product development and/or manufacturing teams to ensure the plans are fulfilled during development and production phases * Manage the compliance of the quality activities through the application of system, product and process audits to support FAA and/or customer requirements. * Interpret, apply and communicate engineering drawings / models/ specifications; Federal Aviation Regulations, Quality Control System Requirements, knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication techniques and processes. Serve as Point of Contact for regulatory authorities and external customers regarding system compliance. * Review new and revised product documentation to ensure the accuracy of customer quality requirements and their impact to the product/business. * Provide program support, as assigned to include: * Model/Drawing interrogation for FAI development and/or approval as required * Inspection Checklist creation and/or approval as required * Support Program Management, Customer Program and Operations Reviews as needed * Participate in Product Development, Manufacturing and Testing activities. Analyze performance and failure data throughout development cycle and models for improvement. Apply Statistical Process Control as necessary. * Coordinate external test lab requirements pertaining to assigned programs as required. * Support Quality Action reporting metrics; data for tracking metrics, root cause and corrective action. Assist in the development of root-cause analysis and ensure corrective/ preventive actions are implemented to address non-conformances. * Participate in internal and external design reviews, providing input on definition of product sufficient to allow inspection, prior production / field issues pertinent to the configuration under review. Has a strong working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5M and/or Y14.41 sufficient to review / approve manufacturing work instructions and support inspection practices including selection of appropriate measurement methods / instruments. * Participate in audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit finding reports and determining proper corrective and preventive actions. * Additional tasks and job assignments as deemed necessary to achieve the goals of the Quality Department and Company. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree preferably in Engineering or related technical discipline with minimum 5 years of related work experience; or combination of degree and work experience. * Experience in Root Cause and Corrective and Preventative Action. * AS9100 working knowledge preferred; ISO9000 may be substituted with appropriate industry experience level. * Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within Quality Assurance. * Working knowledge in model-based definition design and resulting first article inspection plans. * Must be proficient with MS Office suite of tools. * Must be a U.S. Person. Desired Requirements: * Experience in aerospace industry preferred; composite component industry experience strongly preferred. * Minitab or similar data statistical analysis capability preferred. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and Lean Six Sigma certification desired. Physical Requirements: * Must be able to work in a Manufacturing environment. * Must be able to lift/carry up to 30lbs.
