POSITION SUMMARY:

Spray paints surfaces of materials or products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Applies epoxy paint and rubber adhesive applications using conventional spray techniques.

  • Cleans and prepares surface of articles to be painted.

  • Formulates the mixing and proper storage of chemicals and paint.

  • Loads and moves materials to work area.

  • Cleans work area.

  • Provides guidance and/or instruction to less experienced painters.

  • Performs other routine duties.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years industrial spray painting experience.

  • Minimum six months prior experience with blasting equipment and degreasing equipment.

  • Minimum six months prior experience with operation of overhead cranes and forklift.

  • Ability to follow written instructions and complete manufacturing documents.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles of toxic or caustic chemicals with air mask provided.

  • Must complete respirator training, and must pass a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test.

  • Prolonged standing.

  • Frequent bending, pushing, pulling and stooping.

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, greater than 50 lbs with assistance.

  • Exposure to loud noises requiring hearing protection.

  • Work in heat in the summer and cold in the winter.

Facilitates written and verbal communication to and from the Regional Director/Assistant Regional Director with all levels of staff within the agency and with external entities. Performs coordination and liaison functions for a wider range of issues and activities. Coordinates and tracks administrative assignments and activities. Researches, prepares and presents a broad variety of complex reports, correspondence, presentations, and other documents related to program administered by HHS. Manages and/or coordinates special projects on behalf of the Regional Director's/Assistant Regional Director's office. Makes travel arrangements; prepares travel vouchers; schedules meetings and rooms; orders supplies; answers telephones; distributes mail; and works on special assignments. Provides secretarial and administrative support to the Regional Director/Assistant Regional Director for Long Term Care - Regulatory (LTC-R). Essential Job Functions: Maintains a regular and predictable work schedule. May supervise the work of others. Prepares and proofreads correspondence, forms, or other documents (for example, letters, memos, travel or purchase vouchers, job announcements) using a personal computer or typewriter. Answers telephone, refers callers to appropriate staff, takes messages, and answers basic questions. Performs administrative or support work for assigned area (for example, drafting correspondence/documents, tracking assignments, completing forms/reports, explaining rules/procedures). Schedules meetings, training sessions, or tests by contacting staff and scheduling date, time, or facilities. Maintains records, files, or logs (for example, administrative, personnel, contract, correspondence forms, documents, purchasing, case files, tracking logs, files/documents on diskette) including filing, retrieving, or purging. Receives complaints or appeals and forwards them to appropriate staff for response. Communicates on a complex level with others (internally or externally) to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquiries, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints. Acts as a Lead Administrative Assistant for the unit, which requires coordination with all other Administrative Assistants to ensure continuity within Regulatory Services. Opens, dates, sorts. or distributes mail (for example, incoming/outgoing mail, reports, documents, printouts). Coordinates/tracks administrative assignments/activities on an intermediate level and ensures responses to action. Knowledge Skills Abilities: Knowledge of office practices and administrative procedures. Skill in standard office equipment and software. Ability to implement administrative procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness; to interpret rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; to communicate effectively, to train others; and to supervise the work of others. Knowledge of agency policies, functions, and operations. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and using office machines and equipment. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices. Ability to implement administrative procedures and to evaluate their effectiveness. Ability to take initiative when dealing with time sensitive assignments. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to interpret policies, rules, or regulations. Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
