The Maintenance Industrial Mechanical and Electrical Technician is a primary role on the Maintenance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the completion of maintenance tasks using established DC standards within the Distribution Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
Troubleshoot, repair & maintain all electro/mechanical devices in warehouse, which includes but is not limited to powered conveyor system, carton erector, generator, fire alarm system, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) system, baler.
Troubleshoot to the component level and perform necessary repairs.
Knowledge of: gear boxes, mechanical drives, variable speed applications, bearings, pulleys, chain drives and lubricant standards and applications
Ensure proper maintenance and operation of Plow & Hearth facilities and equipment, including pallet jacks, tape machines, strapping machines, shrink wrappers and general warehouse equipment.
Participate in renovation and expansion projects.
Be on call for emergency maintenance repairs during crisis situations (i.e. inclement weather, power outages, equipment breakdown, etc.).
General-purpose electrical installations and repair work as required.
Advise and assist in PM system design implementation and maintenance.
Coordinate and manage contractor PM's and routine maintenance for heating and air conditioning units, fire protection equipment, lift equipment including fork lifts, order pickers, stand ups and sweeper/scrubber. May include working with and assisting outside contractors to perform various duties
Skilled in application and use of mechanical tools, hand tools and power tools
Identify, document and communicate maintenance needs to Manager or Warehouse Director
Able and willing to assist in other areas necessary.

The requirements listed below represent the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required, to perform job function:
Must have a high school diploma or GED. Mechanical or trade school a plus. Certification preferred but not required.
Physical activity includes standing/walking 8 hours or more with scheduled breaks, kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting and pushing on a regular basis. Frequent movement of cartons and equipment weighing up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 100 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance if necessary
Maintenance experience in conveyors, electrical motors, plumbing, mechanical assemblies and hydraulics is a plus
Ability to obtain and maintain certification for use of a fork lift, order picker and stand up - will certify
Working knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC equipment
Competent in using MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform tasks consistently and accurately; attention to detail is a must
Must comply to MSDS standards and lock out/tag out procedures
Electrical certification preferred
Excellent problem solving skills
Ability and desire to work with people in a team effort
