Industrial Mechanical Project Manager

Pay: 70k-100k (depending on experience level)

Description:

The Industrial Mechanical Project Manager will estimate and manage industrial mechanical field installs along with steel fabrication work for our customers. 

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of industrial mechanical field work and a proven track record of success.
• Ability to handle multiple demands, while keeping a positive, results-focused attitude toward customers, other contractors and subcontractors, and company personnel
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and procedures; understanding coating/steel fabrication operations; and conceptualizing each customer’s expectations
• Communication skills, both oral and written, that are clear and effective; able to interact in a manner that establishes and promotes effective relationships internal and external to the company
• Strong math background, including basic statistics and estimating; computer experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and CAD programs
• Prior experience as a machinist is extremely helpful

Job Duties:

• Make sure that the jobs are accomplished within the prescribed time frame, budgetary limitations, and quality standards
• Review the customer’s prints and specifications to determine the feasibility of doing the work
• Negotiates with the customer to finalize the project’s cost and schedule to estimate the job
• Requisitions materials and develops a work plan
• Monitors the status of the project and communicates with the customer, informing him of any changes or requesting additional information
• Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems
• Coordinates production activities with inspectors, owner, and others
• Prepares reports, maintains documentation file, and reviews all relevant paperwork prior to invoicing; assists in the resolution of outstanding issues.
