We are looking for a Industrial Maintenance Technician to provide upkeep and repair for all of the production and facility equipment in our center.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician provides upkeep and repair for all production and facility equipment within the Center to ensure or improve production efficiency.

  • Troubleshooting using PLC interface for diagnostics

  • Assist with installation of new equipment

  • Conduct basic electrical and mechanical repairs as assigned

  • Assist with facility improvement and basic repairs including floors, walls, and ceilings

  • Assist management with scheduling maintenance projects

  • Support outside contractors with repairs/maintenance as needed

  • Maintain accurate and complete departmental records

Qualifications

Do you have what it takes?

High school diploma or equivalent required

  • 3 years' work experience with automation, calibrated tools, electrical and mechanical repairs, and laptop to PLC interfaces

  • Advanced knowledge of hydraulics, PLC logic, plumbing, general contracting, welding, HVAC/refrigeration, etc. preferred

  • Ability to read and/or understand written and/or verbal policy, instruction and direction in English required

  • Skilled Windows based computer systems preferred

  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints preferred

  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift and manual/electric pallet jacks

  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed and available for emergency call-in

This position will also be responsible for process improvement and installation of new processes. Industrial electrical, motor controls, fluid pumps, piping, plumbing, ability to read blueprints and schematics and mechanical experience is required. What you'll be doing: * Troubleshoot and repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems. * After hours availability and rotating on-call schedule required. * Handle routine preventative maintenance of all plant equipment. * Help operations with production process improvements when necessary. * Help perform sanitation regiments. * Work within GMP and Food Safety requirements * Participate in safety improvements and actively participate on safety teams. What we require of you: * High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment. * Detail-oriented and motivated self-starter able to work independently or on a team. * Demonstrated ability to problem solve. * Knowledge of PLC systems, VFD's, boilers and compressors a plus. * Ability to stand for long periods and to climb stairs, move 56 pounds, work at elevated heights. * Previous forklift and scissor lift experience. * Ideal candidate will have a good attendance record, ability to work with minimum supervision, a high level of accountability for their work and proficiency troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical systems. * Good communication and interpersonal skills a must.
