The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring that all equipment throughout the industrial plant(s) is operating safely and at peak efficiency. This includes all blow molding equipment, product preparation systems, packaging lines / conveyors and related hardware. The Industrial Maintenance Technician II will ensure compliance with all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards. Will work closely with Industrial Maintenance Technicians III's in the maintenance department on work requests, PM's or projects in the plant. Available 24 hours a day for problematic troubleshooting situations. Train Industrial Maintenance Technicians I's. Complete all task assigned by maintenance team leader and maintenance manager.

Summary of Duties:

  • The Industrial Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring that all equipment throughout the industrial plant(s) is operating safely and at peak efficiency.

  • This includes all blow molding equipment, product preparation systems, packaging lines / conveyors and related hardware.

  • The Industrial Maintenance Technician II will ensure compliance with all GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards.

  • Will work closely with Industrial Maintenance Technicians III's in the maintenance department on work requests, PM's or projects in the plant.

  • Available 24 hours a day for problematic troubleshooting situations.

  • Train Industrial Maintenance Technicians I's.

  • Complete all task assigned by maintenance team leader and maintenance manager.

Position Characteristics:

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • This position is expected to respond to all work requests and accurately track all related maintenance documentation using CMMS software.

  • The IMT II provides accurate tracking of all parts used and related expenses associated with maintenance work requests, PM's and projects.

  • Keep all work areas clean and neat.

Technical Responsibilities:

  • The IMT II must support all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic needs for the industrial operation.

  • Ensure all blow molding and packaging equipment is operating effectively and that conveyors and related equipment operate safely and efficiently.

  • Ability to work with CMMS software with respect to work orders, PM's, and parts inventory/locations.

  • The IMT II must have the ability to operate fork lifts and man lifts safely and effective.

Organizational Relationships:

  • This position reports directly to the Maintenance Team Leader, but requires strong working relationships with all maintenance team members, production personnel.

Required Skills:

Administrative Skills:

  • This position requires good communication skills, problem solving skills, time management skills and decision making skills.

  • The willingness to be flexible with working hours is a must. Ability to perform work tasks with minimal assistance and supervision.

Technical Skills:

  • Solid mechanical background is required with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, welding, fabrication and multi-meter functionally.

  • The ability to observe and learn from IMT III's and quickly apply those skills learned.

  • The ability to read blue prints, wiring diagrams and schematics.

  • The ability to troubleshoot equipment and capable of PLC, I/O identification, and basic PID loops.

  • Requires the ability to operate the CMMS system.

Educational and/or Experience

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma required, however an associate degree, technical school, etc are preferred.

  • Minimum of six months as an Industrial Maintenance Technician I in the maintenance department.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires the ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally, work at heights and in confined spaces.

  • Prolonged standing, bending, sitting and squatting are required for the basic nature of this job.

Position Overview: Support Industrial Operations in the manufacture and distribution of water and related products that meet the quality criteria established by the Company. This position embraces a number of different duties and responsibilities in which the incumbent is directly responsible for the quality produced as well as meeting daily production targets. Incumbent is responsible for the efficient operation of designated production equipment as assigned. Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities: * Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently. Responsible for startup, operation, change over, shut down, and preventative maintenance of designed production equipment. Position assignment may include, but not limited to, operating production line equipment, forklifts or other power equipment. Change over production equipment from one bottle size to another. * Perform manual tasks as assigned. Assignment may include, but not limited to, loading cap hoppers, supplying other production line items, reworking product as necessary, loading conveyors with bottles, crates, and/or coolers. * Verify accuracy of work and complete all necessary and required paperwork (i.e. QA line checks, verification of load-in/load-out accuracy). * Provide general plant and facility clean up including, but not limited to production line clean up and sanitizing, landscape maintenance, minor facility painting and warehouse sanitation. * Other duties as assigned Education Requirements: * Must be a licensed power equipment operator for forklifts and manlifts, or able to obtained licensing within a reasonable length of time after entering the job. * Read, write, and comprehend English. * Able to maintain accurate, legible, and complete records. Related Work Experience: Minimum of one year work experience in an industrial, utility, construction, or maintenance service environment preferred. Previous sanitation experience in a food/beverage or related environment is highly desirable. Functional Skills: * Take action to improve one's own knowledge and skills. * Protect the confidentiality of company, supplier, and customer information. * Comply with all Safety, Environmental, Security, and Good Manufacturing Practice policies. * Comply with job procedures and supervisor instructions. * Ensure the safety and security of self, coworkers, product, and property. * Establish relationships and work effectively with all co-workers at all levels and relevant contractors and suppliers. * Successfully complete all company and government required training. * Adhere to a high standard of ethical conduct. * Operate personal computer. Full capability to see, taste, and smell product. Ability to distinguish colors in chemical titration and hazard labels.
