Industrial Maintenance Technician

Walton, KY | Full-Time Position

Job Summary:

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing, installing, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to machinery and mechanical equipment. Performs all tasks in a safe manner observing cGMP and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring and testing instruments.

• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.

• Examines tools and equipment to detect needed replacements, unsafe conditions, or violations of safety rules.

• Works in accordance with all safety regulations and Best Sanitizers SOP's and work instructions

Qualifications:

• VFD trouble shooting and programming experience.

• Welding skills.

• PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.

• Mechanical knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing liquid filling lines equipment such as Fillers, Cappers, Labelers, torque machines, pumps, conveyers, jet coders, etc.

• Complete understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out procedure.

• Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus.

• Prior work experience in an FDA environment a plus.

• 3 years prior maintenance experience in manufacturing setting.

• Thorough documentation and written communication skills.

• Ability to interact and work with team members.

• Must be able to work flexible hours to include overtime when needed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

• Reach and lift overhead.

• Crouch and lift from floor level.

• Ability to work in an elevated work area.

• Operate a forklift.

• Walk and stand up to 95% of the time.

• Work in temperatures between 50° F to 85° F.

Other Requirements:

• Must have own tools - specialty tools will be provided.

PPE Required:

• Respirator, over boots, dust mask, glasses/googles, face shield, gloves, apron when near open product, cleaning chemical spills.

• Steel toe or composite toe safety shoes with electrical hazard rating - will be provided after probationary period.
