Job Description

  • Ability to maintain & troubleshoot Hydraulics, Compressors, Pneumatics;

  • Experience with welding (stick, Mig, or Tig) and oxy-acetylene torch;

  • Fabrication skills;

  • Hydraulics, Compressors, Pneumatics;

  • Proficient in use of power tools/ measuring devices;

  • Must operate and maintain Cranes, aerial Manlifts , and Forklifts;

  • Basic to Intermediate Electrical skills or certificate from technical training classes and/or institution;

  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills;

  • Machinist Strong mechanical aptitude;

  • Experience with precision alignment drive trains, conveyors, and machine frames;

  • Able to test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes;

  • Intermediate to Advanced Electrical skills or certificate from technical training classes and/or institution;

Planning

  • Meet with plant manager to confirm production schedule;

  • Operate product line machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner while following schedule;

  • Supervise all plant workers and operators;

  • Organize resources in order to optimize productivity;

  • Collaborate with maintenance department to determine repair needs and optimal repair time;

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's);

  • Ensure troubleshooting of machinery and equipment change-overs if necessary;

  • Clean and maintain work area.

Communication

  • Inform operators from other shifts of quality problems or equipment breakdowns;

  • Understand and communicate all information relating to instructions or job-related documentation;

  • Positively influence changes, lead by example;

  • Work in a spirit of partnership;

  • Communication, implement and enforce policies and procedures;

  • Assist plant manager in supervising employees if necessary;

  • Fill out production reports, logs and all other paperwork that needs to be completed.

Verification

  • Verify equipment to ensure its proper functioning and to detect potential problems before they occur;

  • Oversee the work of employees;

  • Verify products to ensure quality and reduce waste;

  • Make adjustments as necessary to produce within certain specifications;

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Manufacture in the most efficient, productive and cost effective manner;

  • Optimize machine performance, efficiency and productivity in order to meet targets;

  • Commit to meeting production deadlines;

  • Analyze production data reports to identify areas of improvements, reduce waste and improve efficiency;

  • Maintain safety, health and environmental policies and procedures;

  • Have a hands-on approach.

Job Description * Installs, diagnoses, services and repairs electrical equipment. * Applies knowledge and ability to use hand tools and operate test equipment such as test meters, watt meters, ammeters, voltmeters or ohmmeters per established procedures. * Reads and understands wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits and ensures proper operation per manufacturer's specifications. * Be able to utilize every tool, which may include drills, mechanical saws, sanders, welders, cutting torches, presses and buffers. * Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems. * Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records * Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. * Calibrates timers and thermostats and adjusts contact points as indicated. * Replaces worn or defective parts such as switches, pumps, motors, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, heating elements and defective wiring. * Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all PC cabinets. Ensures proper functioning and completes any preventative measures as needed. * Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies. Orders needed supplies in accordance with department requisition guidelines. * Maintains work areas and electrical cabinets in a neat and clean manner. Ensures all maintenance supplies are stored in appropriate areas at end of each day. * Maintains appropriate communication with management to ensure efficient and timely service. * Completes and submits service documentation each day with the relevant service information. * Provides research for part prices/availability, manufacturer's specifications, warranty status, estimate approval or other related items for customers as required. * Always maintains professional appearance and displays exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with internal and external customers. * Determines and explains nature/time and cost of repairs to management in a clear manner to avoid miscommunication. * Attends and participates in technical meetings as directed. * Adheres to all company policies and procedures paying special attention to health and/or safety procedures. * Wears personal protective equipment in accordance with training guidelines. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Qualifications: * Must have up to 3 years' experience as an electrician working in an industrial environment. * Must have expertise with PLC Controls. * Experience in Automation, conveyors, and artificial intelligence expertise. * Awareness of operational machinery problems in short proximity. * Strong mechanical, analytical, and solution driven skills. * Possess strong electrical and mechanical abilities. * Critical Thinking: once a problem is identified, an industrial electrician should be able use critically thinking skills to solve them problem efficiently and safely. Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Windows S7 Program.
