The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns. This position will support our Catalyst Business Unit in Louisville, KY at our West plant. The work schedule is from 6am-2:30pm Monday

• Friday. There is a $2,000 Sign On Bonus after 4 months of employment!

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, construct, and replace plant equipment such as forming machines, platforms, dryers, mixers, tanks, vessels, piping, pumps, motors, belts, etc., and carry out routine maintenance as needed.

• Read, comprehend, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, schematics, parts lists, and other written instructions.

• Occasionally assist, train, and guide less experienced employees in specific skills and duties.

• Develop a materials list for projects, including tools, equipment, parts, etc.

• Perform precise measurements using various devices, such as tape measures, transits, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, and depth gauges.

• Conduct field-routing of piping and pipefitting, including threading and welding.

• Execute welding and cutting with various equipment, such as MIG, TIG, rod, arc, wet saw, band saw, flicker saw, hacksaw, circular saw, acetylene/oxygen torch, plasma torch, etc.

• Operate heavy lifting equipment, such as cranes and forklifts, to offload equipment and supplies from delivery vehicles.

• Use heavy lifting equipment, like cranes and forklifts, to position equipment, piping, platforms, materials, etc., from ground level to multi-story heights.

• Operate the following Mobile Heavy Equipment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Additional education from a post-secondary trade school or technical college is advantageous.

• At least two years of experience in industrial maintenance is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Outlook, and SAP work order system, or a similar computer system, is necessary.

• Capable of performing well in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be a strong team player with a commitment to safety.
