Job Summary
The successful candidate will provide quality instruction for student learning and maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom/lab, with a significant emphasis on teaching and evaluating students in the classroom.
Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Technical degree or diploma from an accredited institution
Must have at least three (3) years' experience in industry
In-depth knowledge of electronics, variable frequency drives, mechanical maintenance, electrical motor controls, hydraulic systems, pneumatics, PLC (RSLogix), instrumentation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and industrial robotics
Possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective instructor
Show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and a mature attitude
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with students, the public, industry partners, and other faculty and staff
Skilled in managing deadlines and working in a team-oriented environment
Commitment to utilizing technology in the teaching/learning experience and willingness to stay up- to- date in developing instructional technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Five years of work experience in the industrial maintenance profession.
Knowledge of digital textbooks and digital learning resource platforms.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Provide instruction to students in all phases of the Industrial Maintenance Integrated Automation Technology program curriculum
Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students' progress, maintain student records in the college's student records management software, maintain appropriate documentation, and submit timely reports
Maintain good public relations with related industries and an active program advisory committee
Collaborate with outside agencies and industry to establish work-based education experiences for students
Collaborate with K-12 education partners to establish dual enrollment to full-time enrollment pathways as needed
Other duties include curriculum development, program accreditation, daily lesson planning, student recruitment and placement, follow-up of program graduates, participation in professional development activities, and student organizations
