- Performs project management including but not limited to:
- Defining project scope and projected improvement
- Propose specifications and equipment recommendations
- Propose strategies and technological solutions to implement
- Manage the process of projects and deliverables
- Develop the necessary documentation to standardize:
- Work documents
- Work instructions
- Plant and process layout
- Participate in the design and optimization of equipment with a multidisciplinary team
- Participate in the internal robotics development effort
- Improve production flow through process mapping and MIFD assessment
- Reduce 7 forms of waste
- Conduct time studies and create standardized work charts
- Improve productivity by elimination of waste, work simplification, and automation
- Recommend facility layouts and space utilization
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles
- Implement and lead the Kaizen process
- Provide leadership for the Lean fabrication and Kaizen implementation team
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- In depth knowledge of Lean manufacturing, proven tools and practices in project and change management
- Knowledge of simulation, vision, and or drawings an asset
- Excellent organizational skills
- Self-motivated and strives to accomplish goals
- Prompt and regular attendance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
- Team player mindset
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills
