Industrial Engineer

Position Summary

The Engineer is responsible for structural design analysis, preparation of shop drawings and submittals. They are also responsible for coordination of shop drawing/submittal approval between estimating, operations, and customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for coordinating engineering related items between suppliers (including third parties), operations, and customers.

• Reviews structural design of the building for supporting the panels (insulated metal panels and non-insulated panels) for compliance with specifications, building codes and insurance requirements.

• Prepares shop drawings and submittals, reviews third party drawings and manages through the approval process.

• Reviews revisions to contract specifications and drawings.

• Assist with scheduling work coordination.

• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Qualifications

B.S. in Engineering. Minimum 5 years' experience. Knowledgeable in sheet metal design. Must be able to use AutoCAD and SolidWorks design software. Proficient in MS Office. Fluent in English and Spanish.

Physical Demands

Requires sitting for long periods of time. Requires some travel to construction sites.
