Industrial Engineer Intern

• Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Support 5 S's activities in shopfloor.

• LABELING RACKS,

• COLOR-CODING TOOLS in Assembly

• Mark floor for Material staging areas.

• Support Lead Time Reduction Strategy

• Data Analysis

• Performing data collection and analysis, including recording videos

• Support 5S's Global Assessment Deployment

• Helping to ensure projects are completed on time.

Knowledge & Skills Summary:

• Computer proficient (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Simulation Software

• Arena, FlexSim, etc.

• Experience and/or knowledge on Time and Motions

• Time Studies

• Knowledge of basic lean tools

• 5S's, SMED, Value Stream Map, etc.

• Experience and/or knowledge working in or around machine shop or machining is a plus

Education and Experience:

An in-process Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial Engineering. Ability to work with people in an industrial environment.
