Responsibilities

Primary Responsibility:

Provide engineering and project support to divisional Americold facilities and to Corporate. Drive labor improvement through engineered labor standards, performance incentive roll-out, cost benefit evaluations, work flow analysis, asset utilization, and scheduling optimization.

Essential Functions:

  • Install engineered standards labor management systems in DCs.

  • Standards creation and validation through time studies and observations.

  • Calculate and implement performance incentives.

  • Provide labor management system training and guidance to operations / facility leadership

  • Engineering programming and configuration in Red Prairie Work Force Management system including mapping of warehouses.

  • Evaluate material handling methods for process improvements.

  • Evaluate material handling equipment requirements as needed.

  • Evaluate and make recommendations for process improvements, improving productivity and costs reduction.

  • Develop plans to complete project tasks based on priority

  • Keep abreast of the latest technology in warehousing and evaluate for applications.

  • Develop and execute project scopes, specifications and estimates as needed.

  • Engineering technical and operational support as needed.

  • Work independently to complete above mentioned functions.

  • Other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Education, Training & Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent

  • Exposure to labor standards or relevant course work preferred. Acceptable courses may include, but are not limited to:

  • Data management

  • MOST certification

  • Experience with the distribution/warehouse/logistics industry preferred

  • Proficient with AS400, RF Scanning and WMS systems preferred

Knowledge & Employment Standards:

  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner with little or no supervision

  • Able to work in a multi-functional team environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills required

  • Strong analytical skills required

  • Strong time management skills required

  • Must be self-motivated with high degree of initiative

  • High travel position, up to 75%

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office; MSD/MOST experience preferred

  • Requires the ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions: must partner with colleagues without exhibiting behavioral extremes

  • Requires the performance of work activities including reasoning, negotiating, instructing, persuading, or speaking with others; and respond appropriately to constructive feedback from executive management

  • Employee is required to work in extreme temperatures in a Warehouse environment.

Job Summary: Under very limited supervision with considerable latitude in assignments perform DO254 ASIC verification work for a GPS receiver System on a Chip (SoC). The candidate should be able to work as part of an independent verification team working on verification of the ASIC design and ensuring that DAL B DO254 requirements are met. The position requires one to plan and execute phases of verification and to coordinate the efforts of engineers and support staff. Job requires the ownership of the DO254 verification of major sections of the ASIC design, traceable to requirements. A knowledge of the ASIC design and DO254 verification process from requirements specifications, ASIC design, verification testing, SRR, PDR, CDR, RTF, RTP, and RTL signoff is a requirement.
