About this position:
Associate responsible for setting up and analyzing current Mass Production weaknesses and New Model process development using time/motion studies.
Measure and analyze resource productivity using MOST (time studies) analysis.
Packaging development/improvement for safety/production issues
Engineer job process productivity with the use of tooling layout process
Develop process and process layout from drawing parts provided from HRAO / HGT.
Identify root causes of production problems and provide countermeasures and implement based on prioritization
Study current production processes and balance them to improve Ergo / Safety, production, and process efficiency issues
Research new technologies for continuous improvements
What you need to be successful in the role:
General understanding of process planning (process set-up, layout, quality and safety improvements).
General understanding of project management.
Ability to conduct time studies and develop proposals to improve.
Read and understand mechanical drawings.
Basic understanding of tooling and fixtures.
Leadership & self-motivated skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Travel as required (domestic or international)
Able to respond quickly and effectively to unusual demands and special projects.
Able to work on special projects simultaneously.
Able to effectively communicate project status to a variety of audiences.
Works well in a team atmosphere.
Problem solving ability: troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and countermeasure identification with "hands on" approach.
Ability to use basic computer programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access).
2D AutoCAD (or similar) experience to make equipment / process layouts.
Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST) experience.
Strong knowledge of assembly processes.
Project management familiarity with New Model launch expectations.
Packaging design, development, and improvement.
Understanding of Quality process control.
Exemplifies the Honda Core Competencies.
Required Work Experience:
At least 1 year of full time experience in process Ergo/Maynard Operation Sequence Technique development / implementation along with degree.
If no degree then at least 5 years related experience in process ergo/MOST.
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, or equivalent related experience.
