Industrial Engineer:
The Andersen team in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an early career Industrial Engineer to analyze and implement improvements to our fabrication and assembly operations. This role will support both product lines in the manufacturing plant (100 Series windows and Andersen Aluminum windows and doors) and work closely with our current industrial engineer supporting our supermarket and logistics operations. Candidates should have strong skills in communication and building rapport, attention to detail, and technical aptitude to determine the efficiency of manufacturing processes.
This work will be accomplished in Goodyear, AZ in our 550,000 sq. ft. climate-controlled facility. It's an amazing place with smart factory technology, warm, welcoming and fun work environment, privacy rooms for new mothers, prayer/meditation rooms along with an outstanding benefit and compensation plan. This Industrial Engineer will work on site with a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluate the current state of our manufacturing processes to characterize capacity and the assumptions and variables impacting that capacity
Build out staffing playbooks to model the right number of people to run production for varying levels of output
Identify and implement efficiency improvements to increase the units per person per hour
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
4-year degree in Industrial Engineering
0 - 3 years experience with industrial engineering in a manufacturing environment
Understanding of fundamental concepts (e.g. product mix, takt time, ideal cycle times, efficiencies, wastes, bottlenecks/constraints, and capacities)
Ability to build rapport and create lasting and collaborative working relationships
Ability to collaborate with and effectively communicate ideas and findings to a cross-functional team
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS SUMMARY:
Ability to work at a desk, standing and walking on the manufacturing floor, and occasional lifting of loads up to 50 pounds
Travel related to projects may be required at a rate of less than 10%
WE ALSO VALUE:
Bi-lingual in Spanish
Experience in construction, windows and doors, manufacturing, or an engineering internship or full-time role
Lean or Six Sigma certifications or experience
Basic proficiency in AutoCAD

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
