Job Description

We are looking for a top notch Industrial Engineer who will provide insight and guidance to support operational excellence.You'll be exposed to multiple operations of different sizes, with different products and processes, and you'll regularly partner with site leadership to put them in the best position for success.You'll learn about the overall business which will enhance your strategic orientation and better enable you to deliver results.

  • You'll work independently to manage deadlines and prioritize your workload in a manner that enables you to achieve results

  • You'll provide support with layout, design, improvement and implementation that enables our sites to achieve peak performance

  • You'll champion Continuous Improvement initiatives and projects for the customer

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent, required

  • 0-4 years of experience in distribution or logistics, required

  • Experience with distribution, logistics,project management, preferred

VIEW JOBS 10/24/2022 12:00:00 AM 2023-01-22T00:00 <p>We are seeking a Production System Engineer with Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and/or Green Belt certification to join our growing Continuous Improvement team</p><p>Your Role</p><p>Under the guidance of the Regional Continuous Improvement Lead Engineer within our Production System department &amp; the National Master Black Belt, you will have to manage the delivery of the continuous improvement projects portfolio and projects relating to this activity on the relevant site location. The Engineer ensures the delivery of savings and productivity improvements in line with Operational targets at site. The Engineer supports Operations to progress by using lean six sigma methodologies including, the development of our Kuehne + Nagel Excellence model (Lean Standards), training and mentorship of Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt's. The Engineer also supports in the delivery and development of productivity management tools within their sphere of influence</p><p>Your Responsibilities</p><ul><li><p>Responsible and accountable for the Continuous Improvement (CI) site project program, including the management of Kaizen activities and Yellow Belt/Green Belt/Black Belt projects , leading project teams of management and site teams.</p></li><li><p>Delivery and management with Operations of the project portfolio's resulting from Value Stream Analysis activity</p></li></ul><p>Productivity and Quality CI project improvements to a Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt Standard.</p><ul><li><p>Alignment of projects and CI activity to meet both Production System Savings targets and Site productivity improvement targets</p></li><li><p>Be trained to our DDVSA (Deep Dive Value Stream Analysis) program - 6 Week programs as agreed with Operations and the PS Regional Lead Engineer</p></li><li><p>Management of CI Tracker to ensure savings for sites are validated with financial controllers, and data integrity is maintained at all times.</p></li><li><p>Support to develop productivity management tools within the sites to ensure consistent measurement and monitoring of productivity at process and site level.</p></li><li><p>Support operations in the development of KN Excellence levels on site from Blue through to Gold (Ownership rests with Operations)</p></li></ul><p>Your Skills and Experiences</p><ul><li><p>Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.</p></li><li><p>Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or experienced Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.</p></li><li><p>Minimum 3 years Lean Six Sigma experience</p></li><li><p>Contract logistics management experience preferred.</p></li><li><p>Prior experience as a Process Improvement Specialist.</p></li><li><p>Experience in delivering Kaizen or Rapid Improvement activities based on Value Stream Mapping preferred</p></li><li><p>Advanced skills in MS office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS project and MS Visio</p></li><li><p>Advanced level Minitab user version 14 or above</p></li></ul><p>Good Reasons to Join</p><p>We offer competitive compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, employee discounts, tuition reimbursement, excellent training programs and a highly dynamic global work environment.</p><br> Kuehne & Nagel Logistics, Inc.
