We are currently looking for an Industrial Engineer to work on CAPEX projects.

• Seeking an Industrial Engineer to lead and support plant / process improvement/ CAPEX projects

• Candidates should have a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering with 5+ years' experience in food manufacturing.

• Candidates should be able to articulate their experience supporting process improvements activities in the plant, cost savings, improving overall plant efficiency, output and reducing costs associated with waste

• Candidates should have experience working in lean manufacturing environments, six sigma, process engineering, process improvements, packaging engineering, well rounded plant experience and ability to increase OEE

• Candidates should have experience with pneumatic conveyance, pneumatic transfer, batch mixing, bulk delivery systems and experience leading and driving plant projects.

• The incumbent will be responsible to independently lead various projects, do discovery and determine opportunity for optimization, must have mechanical aptitude and years of exposure with plant IE fundamentals

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years: within a variety of places in a plant-multi line/entire plant is a must, Would look at someone that has a bit less experience but all/more than qualified

• Pneumatic transfer/conveyance experience: someone with particle flow experience rather than just fluid. They will run into issues not having experience with the difference between how solids/materials transfer vs. liquids.

• Batch Mixing: multiple batching lines are functioning at the same time-should have experience here

• Packaging experience: doy packaging, flex packaging

• OEE: Be sure they can give in depth examples of how they have monitored and tracked OEE and made improvement to OEE-looking for 5% increase in a year

• Waste reduction: will be responsible for eliminating around $1M in waste, lean manufacturing experience

• Dynamic Flow Sets, SOP writing/streamlining

• inquire with candidates on experience with process flow diagrams, value stream mapping, identification of bottlenecks in plant processes, IoT data initiatives, building frameworks for process improvements.

• what projects have they led where they have identified if another process is better, and done some discovery to determine what capital equipment could be more efficient

• have they partnered with OEM vendors to support process improvements
