Industrial Engineer

Actalent Services is currently hiring a high level Process / Industrial Engineer in the Kansas City area. This is a great opportunity that provides a variety of work to keep you engaged and challenged long-term! Qualified candidates must have 6+ years of working experience in a fast paced production facility with the ability to work onsite. Experience with CAPEX management, cost reduction, and process development is highly valued in this role. Food and beverage industry experience is also a plus.

Description:

• Lead various projects and process improvement activities related to cost savings, overall plant efficiency, cost/waste reduction, and more.

• Assists in establishing operational methods and work standards using various measurement techniques.

• Record and analyze information on specific problems assigned in the utilization of personnel, material, machines and facilities.

• Conduct line balancing activities.

• Recommend changes to layouts, labor control and/or material control.

• Support and implement the QS9000/ISO14001/(GMS) Global Manufacturing System compliance processes.

• Experience working in LEAN manufacturing environments.

• Experience and ability to increase OEE.

• Experience with pneumatic conveyance, pneumatic transfer, batch mixing, and bulk delivery systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management with technical experience is required.

• Knowledge in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

• Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally.
