Position Summary
Site expert to work on all machine control systems (Mevex, Nordion, Konnexis). The position will be first response in troubleshooting control systems to ultimately reduce the need for remote intervention from offsite experts and the increased downtime associated with the remote troubleshooting process. Engineer will be proficient in technical writing creating work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance and the ability to train technicians on those work instructions expanding the technicians' skills and providing documentation to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and consistent manner. The engineer will determine root cause analysis and post-mortems on extended downs and develop strategies to avoid recurrence or processes to quickly identify/solve issues.
Duties
Troubleshoot industrial electromechanical systems and machinery independently and collaboratively, operating within the maintenance department.
Identify potential root causes using a systematic logic-based approach
Develop and implement root cause mitigation and countermeasure options Independently step through and deploy short- and long-term solutions to minimize machine downtime
Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining work instructions and support documentation using logical and efficient organization, notation of thought processes and troubleshooting methodology
Work with maintenance technicians to determine if the problem is electrical or mechanical and assist with mechanical work if necessary. Replace or repair damaged electrical components (e.g., contactors, breakers, fuses, drives) as necessary
Observe NRC, OSHA, and FDA regulations
Education Degree
Required Experience
Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience or 10 years of experience with Electronics
Basic understanding of PLC functionality
Experience with using measuring equipment such as oscilloscopes, and DMMs
Mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools
Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and control systems.
Preferred Experience
Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC experience
Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
Proficiency in Windows applications such as MS Word and MS Excel
Excellent leadership, initiative, communication & documentation skills
Problem identification and resolution (diagnosed and troubleshoot runtime/trends issues)
Exceptional ability to maintain facility safety standards.
Ability to investigate potential issues and improve efficiency and quality.
Skills
Pay range for this opportunity is $72,440.00 - $97,513.50. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
