WestRock in Knoxville, TN is looking for an Industrial Electronics Technician for 12-hour, night shift schedule.
Pay is based on experience.
HIRING IMMEDIATELY.
GENERAL PURPOSE: Performs electronic and mechanical maintenance of facility and equipment in an efficient and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems up to 480 volts.
Interpret electrical publications such as schematics and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot and repair machine controls including components such as relays, sensors, switches, motors, PCBs and PLCs.
Replace and calibrate electronic devices.
Troubleshoot/repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems including valves, compressors, pumps and blowers.
Perform predictive maintenance on high impact assets, including the use of infrared cameras, vibrational and ultrasonic test equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems and make repairs as needed.
Perform basic cutting and welding to fabricate items such as guardrails, brackets, and hangers.
Use a multimeter and/or other specialized tools to measuring electrical systems.
Use scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments accurately.
Safely operate shop equipment such as grinders, drill presses, and saws.
Bend conduit and pull wire.
Operate scissor, boom and Fork-Lifts.
Maintain accurate records using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Support various recycling programs such as light bulbs, batteries and metals.
Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.
Training, certification, or a degree in electrical technology is a PLUS
Must be able to properly use scales, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
Must have working knowledge of electronic devices such as reversing motor starters, PLCs and various sensors.
Must be trained in basic electrical and mechanical safety.
Must have sufficient aptitude for computer software such as outlook, excel and word.
Must have the ability to read schematics, prints, ladder diagrams, and drawings.
Must have knowledge of and ability to interpret national electrical code and NFPA 70E.
Must be able to maintain good attendance.
Must be willing to work every other weekend.
