Position Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Industrial Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our CLT manufacturing factory. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting to prevent or correct irregularities and malfunctions. This position full- time and is located at our facility in Spokane, WA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, actively participating in safety programs to create a secure work environment.

  • Adhering to and executing prescribed maintenance schedules in a safe and effective manner.

  • Install, service, and repair automation systems: Work with wiring, control systems, and automation equipment to ensure optimal performance

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues: Identify and resolve electrical problems in automation systems quickly and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams: Work closely with engineers to implement automation projects and improve system functionality.

  • Update technical Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and modifications to electrical systems.

  • Ensure compliance with safety standards: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

  • Train mentor junior staff. Provide guidance and support less experienced electricians to foster skill development and adhere to best practices.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

  • Maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment.

  • Knowledge and understanding of best practices in preventive and predictive maintenance.

  • Strong teamwork and written and verbal communication skills; ability to work closely with supervisors and other departments.

  • Positive attitude, self-starter, and willingness to complete programs / classes.

  • Candidates must be able to lift 25 pounds continuously to move objects.

  • Essential duties include, but are not limited to, stooping, climbing, and crawling in and over machines for repair purposes and the ability to lift heavy objects.

  • Must be comfortable working above the ground at times and outside as necessary.

  • Conduit installation including bending.

  • Read and understand Electrical Wiring Schematics.

  • Proficient with Multi-Meters.

  • Proficient with PCs navigation of standard commands of installed Software.

  • Install electrical wiring, control, and lighting systems, including switches and circuit breakers.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of PLC (Controllers) Ladder Logic Programming (Programming experience preferred).

  • Demonstrate understanding of 3 phase VFDs.

  • Basic Understanding of Ethernet Networks with IP addressing.

  • Comfortable in high stress situations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.

  • Excellent Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
