Job Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician in our Baltimore, Maryland manufacturing location. The starting base salary for this position $30.93 per hour plus overtime, and is eligible to receive up to a 5% bonus based upon plant performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Perform routine repairs on machinery in the plant

  • Must be able to read instructions, blue prints, and manuals, and use any meters, hand tools, and shop equipment required to perform tasks

  • Must have experience with PLC drives

  • Replace electric motors, switches and wires as required

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, relays, AC and DC motors

  • Troubleshoot and repair input and output control devices

  • Work with 3-phase electrical systems

  • Perform preventative maintenance to prevent major production interruption and to ensure the safe operating condition of the plant

  • Maintain tools and test equipment to maintain plant electrical systems

  • Assist supervision in the design of new equipment as well as replacement equipment to enhance the performance of plant electrical systems

  • Work in a neat and orderly manner and be responsible for safety and good housekeeping at all times

  • Must have good mechanical skills

  • Operate lift truck and unit crane

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and climb ladders to access equipment

  • Must be able to kneel, stoop and crawl around machinery to perform work

  • Participate in continuing training process

  • Must be willing / able to work 6 days per week, with occasional days off

  • Other duties may be assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED);
  • 3-6 years' experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • A degree from a technical school in lieu of experience

Motivated self-starter with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple projects. 5. Extensive knowledge and hands-on repair experience of equipment. 6. Must pass maintenance mechanic skills test. 7. Demonstrated knowledge of USG's Reliability Performance Model and MP2 software (ie. generating reports, checking plant backlog, adding parts to equipment, etc.), preferred. 8. Basic knowledge of predictive maintenance best practices and technologies utilized to monitor condition of equipment. Basic understanding of Root Cause Failure Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis to evaluate equipment failures and optimize preventative maintenance practices. 9.
