The AppleCare Instructional Design Project Manager works with various business stakeholders to identify training needs, design, and create instructor led, computer based, and virtual training using cutting-edge technology and innovative solutions. This Instructional Design Project Manager is capable of leading a collaborative development process while working closely with training developers, training delivery managers, and key project partners. The successful candidate is able to create activities that are engaging, challenge the learners understanding, and to relate to learning objectives.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated with excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. You'll work under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced dynamic environment that demands high quality, creativity and consistency.

Key Qualifications

Strong organizational and project management skills.Experience crafting and developing training on functional and technical job skills.Knowledge and understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies for classroom based, self-guided and virtual training.Ability to manage multiple projects within tight timeframes.High aptitude for managing and solving tactical issues.Ability to work independently and be self-directed.Quickly and effectively shifts gears to meet changing business requirements.Ability to work effectively on global and virtual teams and accommodate time differences.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication.Strong sense of personal accountability for project success.4+ years experience in managing training projects and / or training development.Experience with web-authoring tools and multimedia (basic HTML coding skills, Dreamweaver, XML, javascript & CSS).Experience working within learning and content management systems.

Description

Coordinate, implement and manage training development initiatives:Develop and maintain project plans and schedule, and communicate changes in scope in a timely manner

Develop and maintain project communications

Craft and maintain training documentation related to each project (such as project plans, timelines, gather sites, etc.)Engage with Developer Manager to ensure proper developer assignment to each project, as needed

Incorporate feedback to assess training effectiveness and evolving training content

Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing training outcomes data and trends.Work with training delivery team to determine training needs of AppleCare.Create experiential activities geared towards adult learners.Transform task lists into learning objectives.Design, develop, and maintain ground classroom, virtual classroom, and self-paced training content using both traditional instructional design and rapid development strategies.Ensure training is innovative, engaging and on the cutting edge of training technology.Review developer content for technical and procedural accuracy.Hold training related project meetings with appropriate team member and stakeholders as needed - i.e training kick-off meetings, training check-in meetings, delivery coordination meetings, sites training readiness meetings, and training project debrief meetings.Work closely with Localization team to devise a localization strategy for each project.Work closely with Learning Management Admin to devise an assignment strategy.

Education

Communicate with product suppliers to facilitate their review of product designs and ensure all changes and concerns are relayed to the appropriate stakeholders. This position will create "Label Design Checklists" which output all label-sensitive information for each product package from our Product Lifecycle Management system and each must be customized, in part, to ensure necessary information is placed on product package such as correct marketing name, instructions, country of origin and placement of lot code and best by date. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented editorial professional with exceptional skills to proofread, edit, research and comprehend applicable FDA and USDA sections from the US Code of Federal Regulation, as well as manage multiple projects in a fast paced, highly demanding environment. Responsibilities * Ensures and supports efficient use of Label Design Checklist by Graphic Designers to ensure objectives and various information needed for package design are clear and well understood. * Handle vendor communications involving label development and review process and requirements. This includes obtaining any outstanding information from vendors needed to develop the product packaging or ensure compliance of the packaging. * Assist in facilitating the label review and approval process by third parties including vendors, organic certification agencies, kosher certification bodies, and parties involved in the Whole Trade Guarantee program such as Fair Trade USA, etc. * Extensive proofreading and accuracy checking against Product Compliance Specification, noting revisions for numerous package design layouts on a daily basis, checking information listed on package against US Code of Federal Regulation (Section 21) for accuracy and compliance. Confirming accuracy, consistency and conformance to WFM's Quality Standards and conventions/best practices in all claims, product copy, instructions, net weight and other information. * Set up weekly product packaging reviews to identify issues in package printing/production, as well as maintain storage of all empty EB packaging "flats" for review and reference. * Supports EB Supplier Packaging Reprint Approval process – support in responding to e-mail communications sent to alias and reviewing all proposed reprints in terms of quantity and version to ensure accuracy and control/ prevent printing of excess packaging. Qualifications * 4 year degree or equivalent experience * 1-2 years in packaging design, packaging research and development, and/or sustainability with working knowledge of US Code pertaining to food labeling and regulation. * Strong communication, organizational and problem solving skills. * Strong project management skills. * Interests in copywriting and the culinary industry. * Broad understanding of the Food Industry and/or Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and the packaging materials, packaging equipment, packaging systems and controls, and related manufacturing applications used within the industry. * Natural inclination toward being a stickler for accuracy and perfection with relentless attention to detail. * Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional Preferred Qualifications Experience working with a Product Life Cycle Management System.
