The Special Education Compliance Coordinator ensures that all policies and procedures that define the operations of a compliant special education department are provided support and guidance as necessary and supports the special education team with scheduling and serving as Public Agency Representative for all Case Conferences, including but not limited to, Annuals, Move-Ins, and Revisions. The Special Education Compliance Coordinator is vital in ensuring all Intervention Specialists on staff receive the support they require to become successful teachers of students with disabilities.

AS A Special Education Compliance Coordinator, YOU WILL..

  • Serve as PAR (Public Agency Representative) for all special education case conference for INDLS

  • Complete all Case Conference Notes as part of the IEP process. The Case Conference notes are a required part of the Indiana IEP document

  • Contact all Case Conference Committee members and schedule all Annual, Revision, and Move-In Case Conferences prior to IEP due dates

  • Ensure all Case Conference Committee team members are sent an Outlook calendar invite containing the Blackboard Collaborate room link and Conference Line information

  • Cross Check student/guardian information from IEP document to internal enrollment information

  • Facilitate conference discussion and oversee conference agenda for INDLS

  • Authorize commitment of resources for INDLS

  • Ensure appropriate procedures are followed during a conference

  • Supports school personnel in development of student individual education plans during case conferences

  • Serve as PAR (Public Agency Representative) for all move-in conference requirements within 10 days of student start date for new enrollees with a current IEP from previous school

  • Administers and ensures compliance with corporation policies as well as state and federal special education regulations

  • Completes other assigned duties

If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning.

RequirementsMinimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Education

  • Minimum of 3 years in the special education field

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills

  • Ability to work in high pace and collaborative environment
