Job Description


Lead a defined team of individual contributors in support of Procurement Excellence across indirect spend in North America. Manage a unified Procurement service team, focused on a shared vision and strategies that deliver positive end-to-end stakeholder experiences. Build influence by proactively managing the stakeholder's experience, including communication excellence and providing innovative service solutions; leverage stakeholder influence to maximize compliance to Indirect Procurement strategies. The Indirect Procurement Supervisor excels at the below duties, requires minimal management support, and is typically responsible for significant spend areas and/or projects.


  • Leverage your team's diverse perspectives and capabilities to improve individual and team performance. Challenge your team to exceed goals & objectives.

  • Build organizational capability through recruitment, development, and retention of top talent. Key activities include robust performance reviews, clear annual goal objectives, talent development, and creating a culture of accountability and a focus on excellence.

  • Establish and maintain a high-performance culture within the team. Be a role model of assuming positive intent, staying focused on what is important, and continuously improving, and coach the team to do the same.

  • Align team resources and workloads to maximize productivity to deliver value to the business. Provide leadership regarding escalated issues and work in collaboration with other functional areas to ensure vendors provide the service, quality, and cost-effectiveness required to support Amcor's success.

  • Build forward-looking skillsets within the team to take on advanced roles within the company; build team capability with negotiation, contracting, strategic sourcing process, analysis, stakeholder influence, and professional communication.

  • Holds team accountable for accuracy and lead as a champion for quality in all processes.

  • Hold team accountable for managing to targeted department metrics on a monthly basis.

  • Ensure teams are engaging with vendors and internal stakeholders appropriately, providing a high degree of service.

  • Act as back-up for other Indirect Procurement Supervisor or Indirect Procurement Manager as needed.

  • Coach team to maintain and adhere to Amcor standard processes with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Seek out Continuous Improvement opportunities and to understand how your solution impacts the upstream/downstream process. Lead implementations of potential solutions across the broader team.

  • Facilitate cross-functional partnerships to expand on technical expertise. Seek out functional lead to establish and provide knowledge building when needed.

  • Build credibility and influence with stakeholders through positive engagement and service excellence. Engage in face-to-face discussions with stakeholders to improve our business.

  • Managing complex service models and provide guidance to team (i.e. sub-contract, consignment, etc.).


  • Strong leadership, results orientation, and the ability to positively influence

  • Strong administrative, communication, and organizational skills to manage assigned team's daily work requirements and service improvement initiatives

  • Effective technical knowledge of products and services, procurement systems (SAP & Ariba), and manufacturing processes as applicable to a leadership role within the Indirect Procurement function

  • Team Leadership, Change Leadership, Collaboration and Influence, Developing Organizational Capability, Functional Competence


  • Education Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • Experience 5-7 years of successful experience, including prior leadership, preferably including Procurement experience

This role has category management responsibilities for Kimberly-Clark's purchases in Marketing Agency and related subcategories, in which global spend is approx. $200 - 250MM. The position will report directly to the Global Director, Marketing Procurement. The Global Procurement Lead-Marketing Agencies will: o Develop and oversee the global category strategy and key supplier relationships for all Marketing Agency spend at K-C. o Build category expertise and provide guidance to regional teams in the context of stakeholder needs, statement of work benchmarking and analysis, and effective agency performance and relationship management. o Ensure that K-C is maximizing value for money with agency fees while delivering a talent first/outcome-based approach to agency negotiations and relationship management. o Lead Supplier relationship management, building and facilitating partnerships with strategic suppliers and key executives within K-C. o Establish strong connections with stakeholders, providing leadership and market expertise and engaging them in procurement processes and decisions. Scope: Lead the strategic sourcing and category management of Marketing Categories including creative, design, digital, PR, media and production agencies. Value of purchases are typically in the $200-250MM range and support both regional and global purchases across multiple business units. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business or related discipline. * 7-10 years of business experience including experience working within a Marketing Agency or in the Procurement of Marketing Agencies or related spend categories. * Experience in a cross-functional and/or business unit role in which category knowledge was gained and applied. * Experiencing in leading complex negotiations in the Marketing Agency category. * Project management/continuous improvement experience. * Experience as a thought leader demonstrating ability to influence others. * Category knowledge gained through experience in cross functional roles. * Experience establishing resource networks and building relationships.
