AOC Aliancys is adding three newly created Category Manager positions to the Procurement Team. Category Managers will be responsible for leading the strategic sourcing activities for the following categories:

  • HR, Travel and Professional Services
  • CAPEX and MRO
  • Logistics & Packaging

In this role you will work closely with key stakeholders to develop effective cost reduction strategies and implementation plans. You will use strategic sourcing best practices to capture real savings while making effective supply base decisions, including direct savings captured through consolidating company-wide purchasing volume (where applicable) and applying operational and commercial TCO levers to reduce cost and managing contracts with suppliers.

This position will be responsible for ~$20M-60M in annual spend and will report to the North American VP Procurement.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain Management/Business/Engineering or related field, preferably in manufacturing or chemical setting, MBA and Certified Purchasing Manager Professional preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in supply chain management, purchasing or related roles
  • Success with negotiation and managing of suppliers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization, to suppliers and service providers.
  • Strong internal customer influence and change management skills
  • Solutions oriented
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Understanding of contracts and the laws related to them
  • Knowledge of industry trends related to the acquisition of products/services in the assigned category
  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, Oracle or other like software.
  • 5-10-% Regional (North America) Travel
