Ensure consistently reliable, stable flow of incoming production material required from external and GKN suppliers to site, enabling production cells to satisfactorily meet customer requirements and maintain finished goods inventory at established target levels.
Maintain and use information in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to quantify incoming material needs, set receipt due dates, order materials from suppliers, follow through and ensure receipt of materials in a way that enables production cells to run without interruption due to material shortage and to maintain adequate, established finished goods inventories. Develop and maintain Plan for Every Part (PFEP). Maintain adequate material inventory levels according to established targets.
Attend ECR /ECO meetings and maintain awareness, ensure necessary changes in MRP systems for effective change management. Communicate and interface with suppliers to ensure demand information is accurate and verified and correctly entered and maintained in enterprise MRP and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems. Monitor and verify material receipts across all shifts as needed. Ensure part master data information and replenishment levels at Roxboro, pull and flow from 3PL and internal and external suppliers are adequately planned, set and working via MRP & eKanban replenishment systems as needed and where supplier systems are present.
Minimize, communicate, countermeasure, and escalate supplier performance variation and failure to reliably and fully meet due date commitments. Implement, follow and improve material flow management processes, including the verification and reconciliation of discrepant or inaccurate material inventory.
