Job Description

To analyze and coordinate all income audit functions in order to and ensure all financial transactions for the day are verified and balanced.


  • Timely and accurate preparation of the Daily Revenue Report. 2 pm upload to shared drive.

  • Monthly upload of forecast to daily report

  • Month-end close, balance and post of revenues to meet corporate deadline.

  • Documenting errors made by cash handling associates.

  • Assist with guest inquiry volume when applicable.

  • Daily balancing of credit card batches settled to posted and received batches.

  • Daily allowance review and distribution of report.

  • Daily management charge adjustments and posting to cost.

  • Daily tracking and posting of select guest and amenity charges.

  • Daily tax reconciliation.

  • Daily review, balancing and posting of MISC Commissions and receivable accounts.


  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent.

  • Must have excellent computer skills.

  • Must be able to work a Monday- Friday shift.

  • Must have excellent communication skills.

  • Prior accounting or hotel experience preferred.

  • Must have an understanding of balance sheets and revenue vs expense accounts.

  • Must have working knowledge of general ledger and chart of accounts.

Responsibilities: * Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax issues including compliance, advising, planning, controversies, and technical research * Review information presented on state income tax returns before, during and after preparation * Assist multi-state companies with state and local tax controversies which includes preparing clients for discussions with auditors and preparing protests * Research and draft technical memoranda regarding income and franchise tax questions * Help KPMG audit teams with review and analysis of state tax-related income and balance sheet items * Supervise, mentor, and develop staff Qualifications: * A minimum of two years of experience performing tax research, preparing/reviewing state income tax returns for various types of entities (including partnerships and REITs), and providing technical advice on multi-state tax issues * Master's degree from an accredited college/university (or bachelor's degree with requisite hours to pursue CPA certification) or JD/LLM * Ability to foster relationships both internally as well as with clients * Excellent writing, compliance, communication, and tax research skills * Ability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment KPMG LLP (the U.S. member firm of KPMG International) offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
