Learning Links, by AbilityPath, is hiring for Inclusion Teachers at our Mountain View Location!

The Inclusion Teacher provides guidance and mentorship in educating children in an inclusive and/or special day class environment with an emphasis on cognition, behavior, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness. The Inclusion Teacher adapts the preschool curriculum to best support children with a variety of special needs, and collaborates with the preschool teaching team, co-Inclusion Teachers and families.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Supervise day-to-day operations of inclusive preschool classroom and ensure overall health and safety of the program

• Provide effective classroom management in coteaching environment to create a thriving learning environment for children with disabilities.

• Responsible for ongoing development, evaluation and oversight of the child centered, play based curriculum for children with special needs

• Guide staff in supervision and guidance of children with disabilities including planning and implementation of classroom activities.

• Collaborate with all Inclusion Teachers, Lead teacher service providers an Director of Inclusion to support data collection and implementation of services, identifying developmental needs of students, advise and council parents and align on needs of children receiving our services.

• Represent students and families in IEP meetings and develop educational goals for students

• Adapt weekly curriculum to ensure appropriate accommodations to lessons plans, classroom routine and learning environment

• Assist Preschool Leadership Team with coordinating IEP and private pay services, process to include development of appropriate goals, objectives for all children with special needs in the program

• Partner with family and school district and service providers to support development and implementation of Childs IEP

• Carry out all administrative duties assigned to your position such as ongoing communication with families, progress notes, clarifying school policy and philosophy during Needs and Services meetings

• Support and conduct ASQ screenings, DRDP and data collection

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's in Early Childhood Development

• Minimum three years of experience working w/ children ages 3-5 in an inclusive environment preferred

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid California Driver's License/ID

• Clean Driving Record (if applicable)

• Proof of negative TB test results

• Verification of occupational physical clearance

• Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance

• 18 years of age or job permit clearance
