A bit about the Team

As part of the wider Supply Chain department, the Inbound Supply Chain team are responsible for the bulk stock movements from supplier origin to the ASOS Fulfilment Centers, as well as bulk movements between the different ASOS global facilities (currently UK, Germany, USA & Australia).

What you'll be doing

Your role would be supporting the VP of Logistics and Head of Inbound Supply Chain with the management of the Inbound Supply Chain (Imports) into the US, along with taking direct responsibility for the ad-hoc bulk stock movements from other ASOS facilities into the US.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Management of 3PLs for the FOB/FCA/EXW supply chains and ensure that PO's are moving in the most cost effective and timely manner without compromising availability onsite.

  • Ensuring day-to-day relationship with the 3PLs & suppliers is maintained and performance reporting on weekly KPI's is analysed, with appropriate actions identified and carried out where required.

  • Ensuring a strong working relationship is maintained with all internal customers (e.g. Logistics, ASOS Fulfilment Centers, Buying & Merchandising, Finance, Procurement, Legal, etc.)

  • The appropriate management of the 3PL's PO Management Tool is being carried out in order for the ASOS B&M teams to have PO visibility along the inbound critical path.

  • Managing the annual freight tender process with the ASOS Procurement Dept., while maintaining cost savings and conducting benchmarking exercises throughout the year.

  • Managing the control of the Inbound Supply Chain actual spend versus budget forecast, with regular (weekly/monthly) meetings with relevant stakeholders with continuous improvement actions identified and executed.

  • Optimizing overall inbound logistics operation into the US, including routing, port usage and 3PL selection.

  • Ensuring that Freight Costs per Unit within Retail Management System are up-to-date and passing on margin benefits through consolidation at origin of FOB/FCA/EXW products.

  • YOY decreases to the Freight Cost for Unit by concentrating on utilization at origin.

  • Improving delivery time from origin to distribution center.

  • Ensuring 3PL performance reviews are conducted monthly, with minutes circulated to all relevant stakeholders.

  • Continuously identifying improvement opportunities within systems & processes and managing the implementation within the supply chain function and 3PLs.

  • Continued management support & development of direct reports.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Managing the continuous reduction of the Freight Cost per Unit

  • Lead-time KPIs achieved on bulk stock movements

  • Managing continuous improvement opportunities to systems & 3PL performance identified & implemented in order to improve our customer experience

We would love to meet someone with


  • Substantial experience of the import supply chain functions in the United States, including a sound understanding of standard freight terms.

  • Supply chain analysis and project management within a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven experience in successfully managing stakeholders and 3PLs.

  • Previous retail experience desirable but not essential.


  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment and adapt to rapid change.

  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.

  • A good working knowledge of MS Office (e.g. MS Excel & Outlook) is preferred.

  • Able to build & maintain strong relationships at all levels.

What you'll be doing: * Lead integrated, multi-track IT/business solution projects through the full project lifecycle on time and to budget * Work within a large multi-disciplined project team, lead and manage multiple work streams and suppliers or stakeholders. * Act as the face of ASOS IT at our new 3PL run Atlanta site, demonstrating knowledge, understanding and capability across software, hardware, analysis, design and development. * Develop and track integrated project plans to ensure project objectives and stakeholder business drivers are met. Manage dependencies with other projects and on business stakeholders and teams * Manage the process of project estimation (including Agile processes), establish and maintain processes to manage scope, time, cost, quality, communication, performance and risk * Manage and mitigate end to end delivery and business risk through continual quality assurance and review of project scope, solutions, plans, governance, risk/issues, resources, ROI and 3rd party suppliers. * Be involved in full resolution process of on site support issues * Build project business cases to get approval and funding from the Executive Board. * Manage senior business stakeholders across the full scope of work and ensure that all managed activities are aligned to their vision and goals * Help to define key success criteria and metrics establishing measurement criteria ensuring we track and report against these. * Managing 3rd party contributors and any day to day issues within projects * Work with the Commercial Finance and Management accounting team to ensure the financial management of the team and projects.
