The Inbound Product Manager is an integrated member of the product development team and acts as the interface to the Outbound Product Manager responsible for the stakeholder requirements of the specified product. He is responsible to represent stakeholder requirements and leads the translation into a feasible product concept in close collaboration with the responsible lead system engineer. Together with the project manager and the lead system engineer the inbound product manager ensures balanced decision making and achieving the quality, cost, and time objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participation in a global inbound product management team.

  • Understanding customer needs and translation into technical solution.

  • Provides feedback about the technical feasibility, risks, and opportunities of technical

  • solutions.

  • Optimizing product performance criteria and profitability across North American portfolios.

  • Synchronizing market analysis and requirements with outbound product management.

  • Gathers of other business requirements from other global and corporate functions.

  • Generates clear understanding about differences between competitive and PALFINGER products and services.

  • Support gate reviews and provides critical analysis as input at higher management decisions.

  • Creation and maintenance of absolute technological leadership in the field of lifting solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experienced Product Manager (two (2)-five (5) years in similar industry).

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred or related field.

  • Technical background and ability to align sales/market demand with strategic objectives.

  • Rich knowledge about the industry and in a competitive product segment

  • Complete understanding of the customer application and requirements

  • Knowledge about requirement gathering and requirement management process.

  • Experience in advanced system and product development processes

  • Analytical capabilities to structure and visualize complex information.

  • Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and conceptual skills

  • Expertise in managing tasks in an intercultural environment.

  • Strong communication skills; building long-lasting relationships and alliances.

  • Must have the ability to travel up to 20%
