True Value Company, one of the world's largest hardlines wholesalers with more than 4,400 independent retailers in over 60 countries, is looking for an experienced Inbound/Outbound Manager who is interested in working in an environment that encourages quality, decision making & team work. In this role you will lead warehouse aspects at our Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Denver, CO.

The Inbound/Outbound Manager manages the workforce and workflow within the departments directly or through supervisors to assinged inbound and/or outbound job functions within the departments to balance staffing and reduce overtime. Works directly with associates to establish and foster a strong working relationship to support and enhance work performance. Ensures the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all inbound or outbound functions. Inbound

  • Ensure proper acceptance of product in accord and relevant to regulations and Company policy; OS&Ds, HazMat, Trailer Security, etc. Outbound

  • Ensure timeliness, safety and accruacy of outbound shipments.

Position Description

As an RDC leadership member, manages inbound or outbound flow of product through the RDC in the following functions: Inbound: receiving, put-away, hand stocking, packing slip receiving and inventory control.

Outbound: order-filling, replenishments, and shipping.In conjunction with the General Operations Manager, responsible for the development and coaching of front line Supervisors. Conducts associate performance reviews and gainsharing results. Conducts employee training and development, monitors job and safety requirements. Performs Job Element Analysis in order to improve job performance.Outbound

  • Works directly with members-vendors-customers to establish and foster a strong relationship related to warehousing and or, delivery functions. Inbound

  • Maximize System Directed Put-away technology to ensure freight is reserved in the best possible warehouse location. Liaison with supply chain (Use Inbound visibility tools to expedite freight to the RDC)Ensures the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all warehouse product receipts and delivery. Makes sure the facility is a safe work environment.Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications

Educational Requirements:
Bachelors Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in the logistics industry.Minimum of 5-7 years experience.Previous P&L and/or budget experience.Excellent communication skills both written and oral.Proven leadership in a comparable environment; including management of exempt level staff. Decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills.PC skills including proficiency in use of MS Word & Excel.Strong knowledge of WMS/RF; experience with voice pick technology is a plus.

The Day-to-Day Responsibilities: * Sells the company's products, systems and/or services via telephone or electronic means to customers in assigned territory, industry, or accounts. * Closes the sale on products, systems and/or services. * Generates prospective customers through cold calling and may qualify and follow up with sales leads produced through other means. * Sales can be made through multichannel, inbound and/or outbound sales activities. * Acquires and applies in-depth technical knowledge of products, systems and services. * Responsible for renewing, expanding and closing of maintenance/service/license contracts for assigned region or account. * Increases renewal sales for assigned regions or accounts. * Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's various products and maintenance contracts. * Educates customers on business practices and associated contractual implications. * Ensures customer awareness and understanding of applicable product elements. * Maintain account team relationships and transfers leads as appropriate. * Applies expanding experience and knowledge of company's policies and procedures to resolve issues in creative ways.
