Peninsula Truck Lines is seeking someone preferably with routing and supervisory experience in the freight industry.
Individual must be able to work in fast paced environment, detail oriented, well organized and able to make quality decisions.
Prefer to have supervisory background with LTL routing experience.
Able to manage up to 10 person team, implement team building program, and set productivity levels
Need the ability to work closely with fellow co-workers and build a positive work environment.
Possess basic computer and ability to learn computerized Operating system.
Must have multi-tasking.
Understand how to placard equipment according to DOT HazMat Regulations.
Shift hours, roughly 12:00am-8am, with overtime on most days
Able to set up delivery routes for local drivers within the coverage area.
Track/Tracing equipment and distribute work load.
Keep dock operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Set shift scheduling to meet the freight volume.
Oversee correct trailers and trucks are staged at dock for loading /unloading.
Able to operate a Commercial Vehicle Class A
Able to drive a forklift
Ensure dock is kept clean and organized. Ensure trailers are kept clean and clear of debris.
Oversee proper loading of local route trailers/trucks.
Ability to meet morning cut times for local routes.
Bring ideas to the table that will improve overall Dock Operations.
Immediately notify your supervisor or the Fleet/Facilities Mgr. regarding any equipment issues or concerns.
