Seeking a Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have not less than 5-7 years' in-house or law firm experience, and functional proficiency in one or more of the legal practice areas listed below. While we would like to ideally find someone with in house experience, all qualified applicants will be considered for hire.

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Be comfortable with a high volume of legal services requests and other organizational support duties.
  • Possess an understanding of in-house legal team operations, document management, and the ability to support and participate in harmonizing technology, people, and process.
  • Be able to collaborate well with stakeholders at every level.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administrative support:

  • Drafting and revising documents, emails, and correspondence

  • Organizing information; assisting in preparations for meetings; making copies and creating binders

  • Planning meetings and events; coordinating with internal and external contacts to ensure events go smoothly

  • Entering data into spreadsheet, software, and databases

  • Proofreading and word processing

  • Calendaring deadlines and events; organizing case files; managing logistics; scheduling travel

  • Legal Services Requests Management

  • Identify legal practice area of request

  • Docket request

  • Set up server folder and documents for lawyers' attention

  • Identify and request additional documents

  • Monitor deadlines

  • Prior experience/functional proficiency in one or more of the following practice areas:

  • Contracts

  • Construction and Professional Services Agreements

  • Subcontracts

  • NDAs

  • Access Agreements

  • Reliance Letters

  • Insurance Claims Support
  • Third Party Auto

  • Workers Compensation

  • Professional Liability

  • Certificates of Insurance
  • General

  • Collections
  • Leasing

  • Intellectual Property

  • Employment Law

  • Corporate Compliance, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Litigation

  • Outstanding communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high activity environment, able to handle ambiguity, juggle many matters at once, and quickly shift from one situation or task to another.

  • Create, maintain, and improve internal policies and processes relating to contract lifecycle management and other SOPs.

  • Provide administrative support to lawyers as needed (see above; drafting and revising documents and memos, drafting routine and non-routine letters and e-mails, etc.)

  • Assist in preparation of PPT presentations, webinars, and Company intranet page content.

  • Handle special projects as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • In-house legal experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with paralegal certifications preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat is required.,
  • Case management experience and skills required.
  • Exceptional organizational and document management skills, and experience utilizing digital tools to support a legal team as it supports its organization, are required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Consistently and professionally communicate through internal and external calls and emails, building relationships with Company personnel of every level.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid online/in-person environment.
  • High level of attention to detail while remaining cognizant of the big picture.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
  • Ability to solve problems and think critically.
  • No job too big or too small attitude.
  • The ability to take initiative, and recommend improvements to the legal team's processes in order to maximize efficiency.
