The In House Director of Marketing is responsible for all internal marketing activities at the designated location(s). The Director provides direct management of the Tour Receptionist, Gifting and Concierge as well as other Marketing team members. The Director develops, establishes and maintains marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives. The Director effectively manages the marketing, advertising and promotional activities within the designated location(s), as directed by the Regional Director of Marketing and company initiatives.


  • Interviews, hires and trains team members.

  • Plans, assigns and directs work.

  • Conducts performance evaluations.

  • Motivates, rewards and provides disciplinary action according to Diamond Resorts International policies and procedures.

  • Provides supervision of his/her direct reports.

  • Leads department initiatives to increase productivity.

  • Conducts weekly staff meetings to ensure departmental goals are being met.

  • Trains and motivates staff on scripted presentations and area information.

  • Oversees quality control on all In-House Marketing programs and/or activities.

  • Provides guidance to Supervisor on weekly goal setting within the department.

  • Maintains total site marketing penetration as set by Diamond Resorts International.

  • Runs daily reports to include, but not limited to Daily Arrival Report, Daily In-House Report and Five Year Owner Arrival Report.

  • Compiles reports as directed by the Director of Marketing.

  • Conducts weekly & monthly review of targeted threshold including monthly evaluation of each Concierge.

  • Develops and updates all standard operating procedures for the In House Marketing department.

  • Coordinates with Sales regarding new marketing programs or changes thereof (booking/gifting policies).

  • Oversees work schedules to control overtime.

  • Submits team member payroll in a timely manner.

  • Provides superior customer service in accordance with the Company DRIven to Excellence standards.

  • Consistently practices the Meaning of Yes and maintains the highest standards of professionalism when interacting with fellow team members, management, owners, members and prospects.

  • Operates office machinery (i.e., computer, copy machine, fax machine).

  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned.

  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field.


  • A minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in the timeshare or vacation ownership field preferred.


Provides immediate supervision to direct reports. Oversees and controls the work performance of others in a close working relationship, often in the same room or close proximity. A portion of the time may be spent performing individual tasks similar to those performed by direct reports. May participate in the interview, selection and training processes as assigned. May be responsible for assigning work to direct reports, reviewing results in accordance to policies and procedures, and providing recommendations to management.


  • This position does not require licenses or certifications.


This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

What will I be doing? As a Marketing Representative Direct Marketing you would be responsible for executing your position's responsibilities in alignment with our Spirit of Service culture and driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards: * Pro-actively call all eligible guests staying at any Hilton affiliate hotel to preview HGVC through direct booking of tours prior to the guests' arrival * Promote the Hilton Grand Vacation Club program through telephone/internet/email. Interact with hotel guests prior to arrival on a daily basis offering them the opportunity to learn more about our club membership through a scheduled timeshare sales presentation * Provide customer/concierge services to all guests projecting a professional company image * Make required number of outbound phone calls per day to meet production requirements by executing on all inbound and outbound guest calls at the start of each work shift * Maximize all inbound calls generated from timeshare specific advertising by properly qualifying guest, full disclosure on timeshare opportunity and utilizing approved gifting options to secure the timeshare tour booking * Review production reports and notify manager in writing of any challenges within the month the tour shows or package is sold * Responsible for selling local tours and activities while providing concierge services * Follow gifting list procedures to ensure costs are met monthly * Complete required paperwork accurately and completely for each tour as outlined in departmental policy, including guest information for wake up and tour confirmation calls * Disposition all leads calls in a timely manner * Utilize company approved systems to check availability as to not overbook a wave * Provide guests in booking hotel services (spa, golf, dining), including directing guests to Guest Services for specific information * Distribute only HGVC authorized information, collateral, and materials * Notify manager of any shortages in collateral in a timely manner * Maintain location-operating standards * Contact management with any guest issues * Comply with all reasonable requests put forth by management Qualifications What are we looking for?
