About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable attorney with experience in contracts, as well as regulatory compliance matters. This role will be integral in drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a range of contracts and agreements to support our business operations, and ensuring that our organization complies with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional business units, while also ensuring that legal matters are managed effectively with appropriate levels of professionalism and efficiency.

This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week onsite in Broomfield, CO.

Responsibilities in this role will include:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, customer agreements, consulting agreements, service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, licensing agreements, and employment contracts.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, procurement, marketing, and finance teams, to understand business needs and provide legal guidance on contract matters.

• Ensure that contracts are in compliance with legal requirements, company policies, and industry regulations.

• Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with contracts and provide strategic advice to mitigate potential disputes or liabilities.

• Manage contract administration processes, including tracking contract status, deadlines, and renewals.

• Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations that may impact contract terms and conditions.

• Assist in resolving contract disputes, claims, and issues that may arise during the contract lifecycle.

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various contractual and commercial law matters as needed.

• Develop and maintain contract templates, guidelines, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency in contract management processes.

• Support the General Counsel on special projects and other legal matters as required.

The base compensation range for this position is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 commensurate with experience.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• Admission to the state bar and in good standing to practice law in Colorado.

• Minimum of 5 years of practicing law, with focus on contract drafting and negotiations.

• In-house or corporate legal experience preferred.

• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial law, with regulatory compliance experience preferred.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills, including interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• High ethical standards and strong attention to detail.

• Experience with contract management software/systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
