JCPenney In-Home Custom Window Treatments is looking for talented Design professionals to join our team. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an In-Home Decorator Consultant.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Experience: Provide a first class experience for every customer by helping with their window covering design needs and managing the customer experience through the order cycle.

  • Designers touch: Provide a decorators recommendation on In-Home Custom Window Treatments, including hard window coverings, soft window coverings (curtains/draperies), bedding, and other home treatments to achieve maximum sales volume.

  • Educate customers: Demonstrate knowledge of JCPenney In-Home Custom Window Coverings products and services, using this knowledge to build sales and customer base.

  • Build a customer base: Through lead generation, prospecting, networking, presentations, exceptional customer service, building relationships with existing customer, referrals, and communicating effectively.

Job Requirements:

As a Consultant you must enjoy meeting, interacting, and building relationships with customers. We are seeking goal-oriented team players who also work well independently and are able to handle multiple priorities and quickly learn new processes and procedures. You must demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude while paying close attention to detail, design, and esthetic.

Other requirements of the role include:

  • At least 2 3 years of consultative sales, retail, or related experience

  • Design background or interior design degree, a plus

  • Knowledge of iPad, PC data input and internet navigation skills

  • Math acumen; ability to use calculator and measuring tape

  • Ability to manage a client base within a 60 mile radius of assigned store studio

  • Ability to handle physical requirements to accomplish daily responsibilities

  • Flexibility and dependability with schedules, including availability on nights and weekends

  • Local Travel required

  • Must have a reliable form of transportation

  • Valid driver's license and auto insurance

Our Customer Delivery Representatives/Drivers work Monday – Friday, from 6AM – 5PM (or shorter days), and use large quad-axel straight trucks to deliver bulk and packaged lubricants to hundreds of customers locally. Responsibilities: * Driving/Delivery of bulk and packaged lubricants * Safely and accurately deliver products to customers on time * Portray a positive company image through attentive customer service and professional appearance, positive interaction and high work-ethic * Serve as company ambassadors by always having a professional, courteous, polite and respectful attitude to all customers * Consistently exceeding customer's expectations. * Be the eyes and ears for the organization, understanding potential customer needs and the competition. * Shipping and receiving duties as needed. * Other job duties as assigned. Qualifications: * Class B license required, Class A preferred * 6 months of driving experience preferred * Must be able to obtain CDL hazmat endorsement as soon as possible (within 90 days). Tanker is a plus. * Forklift experience is preferred (Lube-Tech will certify) * Ability to lift 75 pounds * High school diploma/GED equivalent, including basic math and literacy skills * Clean safety record; medical card * Product knowledge and experience working with fuel/oil preferred * Knowledgeable about DOT rules and regulations * Basic computer skills, including ability to use hand-held devices * Basic sales skills * Effective communication skills and customer service approach – able to engage with others * Navigational skills and ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude * Evidence of strong work ethic and willingness to learn * Flexible attitude and work schedule capability * Organized and detail-oriented – able to keep track of all records; use hand-held device at times * Physical and Mental Demands: Ability to get in and out of truck several times a day; lift up to 75 LBS., push/pull a barrel or dolly up to 600 LBS Must be able speak, read and write, and have mathematical skills, all with sufficient proficiency to understand instructions, complete required paperwork, and communicate clearly with supervisors and staff. Instructions and required government forms are generally in English. Must be able to speak clearly, see, hear, and smell sufficiently well to safely perform assigned duties including recognizing and responding to emergencies.
