The IMS Specialist/Trainer oversees, manages and trains information systems operations for the assigned company segment.

Provides management with the status updates and any issues relating to assigned applications and projects.
Trains managers and end users on system applications.
Responds to issues and inquiries and follows through to resolution.
Consults with management and reviews business requirements to determine best practices for use of existing information systems.
Assists management in determining and implementing standards, processes and procedures for effective use of software systems.
Analyzes business needs and configures software to support those needs or recommends software enhancements and changes to support mission requirements.
Monitors changes and enhancements and serves as customer representative with IT department.
Provides initial and ongoing training and support for end users.
Determines and implements best training methods and schedules when operating in austere environments with limited resources.
Develops and maintains technical and project documentation
Performs acceptance testing of software upgrades and enhancements.
Knowledge & Skills
Proficient in office software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and flowcharting
Excellent oral, written, communication and people skills across all levels of the organization.
Ability to translate needs of employees/customers not versed in computer terminology for both hardware and software into meaningful solutions.
Strong communication skills with ability to interpret and present IT terminology and processes to non-technical decision makers at all levels.
Ability to understand and analyze business requirements and recommend/implement software solutions to meet business needs.
Experience & Education
Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline. Two (2) years of experience in related field may be substituted for each year of the four (4) years of college.
Five (5) years' experience within an information technology environment with strong background in software implementation and training.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Generally works in a normal office environment. However, due to operational locations of various Task Orders under LOGCAP IV, may be required to travel domestically and internationally, on short notice, to austere environments under harsh living conditions, for periods of time not longer than 179 days.
