The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Improvement Specialist (IS) is responsible for working together with leaders, management, and committees by supporting the development or redesign of systems and processes to improve the overall effectiveness of the SCF Nuka System of Care. Skills required include documenting processes, effective communication, ability to work independently, ability to read and analyze data, and experience in facilitating workgroups towards achieving their identified objectives. The IS reports to either a Senior Improvement Advisor (SIA) or Improvement Advisor (IA) and works with them to support and document improvement projects together with organizational leadership.

This is a two (2) level job progression such that the Improvement Advisor is directly responsible for progressively more responsible and independent work experiences as part of the overall assessment of their ability and capability. Progression between job levels is based on performance on prior assignments and the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree; OR equivalent education/training and work experience.

  • Two (2) years of improvement experience; OR demonstrated proficiency in starting and completing projects in positions at SCF such as Program Coordinator II or Nuka Intern positions.

Additional Qualifications for Improvement Specialist II:

  • Two (2) years of demonstrated experience at the Improvement Specialist I level; OR demonstrated proficiency as an Improvement Specialist I at SCF.
