TITLE: CTP Plate Operator
LOCATION: Visalia, CA
Operator is responsible for producing printing plates from the Creo Plate Setter and the plate processor.
Responsible for outputting printing plates from the Creo platesetter, off loading plates from plate stacker in correct printing order.
Punch plates for Press (operate plate punch)
Slip sheet plates and load into Trendsetter bay.
Participate in trouble shooting situations as needed and directed by Systems Technicians and Imagesetter manufacturer.
Inspect printing plates for defects and for pagination
Responsible for working within the plants general Safety and work rules.
Must have High school diploma or equivalent
Plate making or similar experience a plus
Good communication skills - written and verbal
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Willing to work flexible hours and overtime with short notice
Works well under the pressure of deadlines
Must be able to read and understand a ruler to 1/32"
Must have flexibility to learn and use new technology
Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
