Summary

Cinemark is currently seeking a bi-lingual Import/Export Purchasing Analyst to join the International Purchasing Team in Plano, TX. Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish both verbal and written. This person is responsible for the purchases and exports to Latin America as well as imports, especially under those under special provision HTS 9801. In addition, the person will organize and oversee international transactions from start to finish for export and import of Latin America countries.

Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods to fill International requisitions.

  • Create purchase orders and process invoices

  • Manage consolidation & exporting goods

  • Manage imports and maintain import/export files

  • Classify goods using HTS and ECCN

  • Verify country of origin of products

  • Update and expand database of goods, HTS codes, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience in compliance with US import/export regulations, knowledge of ITAR, EAR, U.S Good Returns, FCC 740 forms, etc.

  • High proficiency in HTS and ECCN classification is required

  • Must be fluent in English & Spanish; proficiency in Portuguese, desirable but not required

  • This position requires frequent interaction with vendors, warehouse personnel, freight forwarders, and staff in our international offices. Ability to prioritize and stay on-task while handling multiple projects is required. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to follow through are also required. The ideal candidate will be well organized, flexible and collaborative

  • Project management skills.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Conduct product evaluation to determine HTS and ECCN Classification

  • Export goods to meet delivery dates and provide documents to clear customs

  • Assist in the development of trade compliance policies and procedures, conduct training and audits, to ensure import/export compliance policies and procedures are followed

  • Report accurate metrics

  • Some administrative tasks, as requested

  • Assist with special projects, as requested

  • Collaborate with other team members and internal clients

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

  • 5 years of experience in import and export logistics

  • Experience in product classification using the HTS and ECCN

  • Experience managing data using MS Excel spreadsheets

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle or other ERPs

Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Knowledge of import/export trade regulations, Tariff schedule, International Incoterms, Free Trade Agreements, and Import/Export compliance programs
